New work discovered - Charlie O'Sullivan.

Great vibrant artwork from Charlie O'Sullivan. I like what she's doing and her work is clearly 'sellable'. A cheery addition to any home during these grey times!

Tribal Art

These paintings are part of a series I've been working on for a couple of months now. The colour piece is approximately 380 x 540 mm, I used both spirit based and acrylic inks on watercolour card. There are 14 individual panels joined together to create this piece The monochrome piece is approx. 290 x 390 mm and was executed on one single board. They are off to the frame man today to be put behind glass. The images come from a mixture of influences: My travels around the world, architecture, rhythm and nature. I have been told they would transfer succesfully onto fabric or even stained glass. This would require a tremendous amount of effort as they are time consuming enough to create with inks. When I started out on this project I had no idea it would head in this direction at all, the work has become tribal, almost psychedelic in it's appearance, they are certainly eye catching. That's fine, each piece feels right and working on them has been immensely satisfying even dare I say therapeutic!
